Thank you for sharing your experience. Have you ever considered taking the alternative and natural approach?

I was on Diovan for 7 years with only fatigue as a side effect. Last year, I developed a cough and my physician took me off Diovan and after
trying 3 different blood pressure medications, I asked to be put back on Diovan. Within 2 weeks of restarting, I developed a fast, irregular and pounding heartbeat. After a cardiology consult, numerous lab work, an echo and stress test, no one could tell me why my heart was pounding. The pounding gradually (over 6-7 months) lessened but has never gone away. I finally read that a pounding heartbeat was a side effect of Diovan on the internet. I decreased my strength from 80 mg daily to 60 mg and the pounding is considerabily less. I plan to talk to my doctor within the next couple of weeks about possible changing to a different medication.
